Laura!!

I have great news to share! I heard from Laura, who escaped New Orleans on Thursday and is now safe in Baton Rouge!! She is making her way back to Maryland where her parents live. I can't wait to see her!!!

I feel so fortunate that I was able to get in touch with her so quickly. My heart goes to all others who have yet to hear news from their loved ones. It is truly a terrible feeling to not know the whereabouts of loved ones during such times of chaos and confusion... May these days of sadness and darkness soon be replaced with happiness...
